Veloci Brass Coupler 1/2″ MPT (24.0072) Durable, Fast and Reliable
Veloci’s 1/2″ Male Pipe Thread (MPT) quick-connect brass coupler is great for fast tool changes connecting pressure hoses, guns and lances.
Ideal for high flow systems that demand reliable, high-speed connections and tight sealing on every quick-connect made
Works well on foam cannons, long hose runs, and other applications that require disconnecting guns and tools often.
1/2″ MPT couplers are often located between hoses and guns, or mounted on other large equipment that needs more water flow
Useful on commercial systems where quick tool changes can save time and improve cleaning results
Precision machined from high-quality brass, Veloci’s couplers will last through the daily abuse and constant flow of water.
Brass will patina (discolor) with age, but will still seal tightly and work well through heavy duty use. If you need more durability and chemical resistance, try Veloci’s stainless steel quick-connect series.
Quick tip: male threads are on the outside of the port, and female threads are inside the port (threads are reversed). Match up male and female threads carefully during installation.
Veloci couplers all use NPT (National Pipe Thread), which are tapered threads designed to form a tight seal as the connection is tightened.
Preparation:
- Wrap threads with 4–5 wraps of Teflon tape (clockwise) or
- Apply 2–3 drops of Loctite (thread locker)
- OR, if connecting to BSP (British Standard Pipe) threads:
- Apply 6–7 wraps of Teflon. BSP threads are straight threads, not tapered like NPT. BSP will tighten faster (fewer rotations) because the thread angle is not tapered, but you can still form a good seal if you prepare the threads and use a good sealer.
