Although the brass may show some discoloration over time, this does not affect performance or durability during long-term use.
If you need even greater corrosion resistance or higher PSI ratings, consider upgrading to Veloci’s Stainless Steel fittings for tougher jobs.
You’ll typically find 3/8″ couplers installed between the pressure washer pump and the spray gun, where quick disconnects save time.
They’re also ideal for use on hose lines, lances, and any point where fast tool changes improve workflow during extended cleaning tasks.
When selecting quick-connect fittings, note this: male threads are external, while female threads are inside the fitting body.
Veloci fittings follow National Pipe Thread (NPT) standards, offering tapered threads that seal tightly through thread interference.
To install NPT fittings properly:

Use 4–5 wraps of Teflon tape, applied clockwise, or

Apply 2–3 drops of Loctite thread sealant for a leak-proof fit
If you’re working with British Standard Pipe (BSP) threads, apply 6–7 wraps of Teflon tape or extra Loctite to achieve a solid seal.
BSP threads are straight rather than tapered, so they engage sooner and don’t thread in as deeply as NPT fittings.
Despite the difference, you can still create a reliable seal by using the proper sealing method during installation.
